Itzedin, Souda |

The fort of Itzedin is situated some 14 kilometers far from Chania, at the East close to the village Kalami. It has been built by the Ottomans after the revolution of the Cretan people in 1866 at the place of the older fortifications of the 17 th century. During the mid- 20 th century it has been used as a prison. |
