Therissos |
It is worth going to Therissos just for the magnificent landscape and the natural sightseeing around. The road from Chania passes through the impressive homonymous gorge, by the river. At “Treis Ekklisies”, close to the entrance of the gorge you will see the old stone bridge, the “Kamara” as the natives call it. |

If you like caves, visit the cave Sarakina or Elliniko, 2 kilometers North of the village; it seems that the cave had been inhabited during the Neolithic, Minoan and Geometric periods, as the pot shreds found there manifest. Once in the area it is worth visiting the springs of the river Anavalontas, in a magnificent landscape. |
