Situated 5 kilometers far from Chania, at the West, Daratsos is a village with 3200 permanent residents, some 500 meters far from the sea.
The village is in fact a tourist resort composed by three quarters, Parigoria, Makri Tihos and Kato Daratsos, the latter being at the beach.
The area of Aghioi Apostoloi at walking distance from the village is worth seeing; successive coves form the beach and you can also find there an extended park, spot of relax and freshness.
A lot of hotels, studios and rooms to let in all three quarters and at Aghioi Apostoloi offer to the visitor a wide range for accommodation. At Aghioi Apostoloi you can also find a camping with full facilities and natural shade. Taverns and restaurants as well as bars and cafes are available.
Access is possible by public bus and taxi from Chania, and by private and rented car and motorbikes. |
