Falassarna beach (south)
At a distance of 57 kilometers from Chania, at the West, and 17 kilometers far from Kastelli at the end of a secondary road, the beach southern to Falassarna is a small sandy beach with a rocky seabed, which is ideal for snorkelling. The beach is affected by the “meltemia” (northern summer winds), as well as by the western winds.
No facilities are available.
Access is possible by taxi from Kastelli and by private and rented car and motorbikes via the secondary road.
Falassarna beach (beside port)
Situated 56 kilometers far from Chania, at the West, and 16 kilometers far from Kastelli at the end of a secondary road, the beach beside the small port is a small pebbly beach, which is affected by the “meltemia” (northern summer winds) and by the western winds.
Not very organised, it offers some accommodation facilities (few rooms), food and drink in taverns and cafes and no facilities for swimming or sea sports.
Access is possible by taxi from Kastelli and by private and rented car and motorbikes via the secondary road. |
