Situated 37 kilometers far from Chania at the East, just off the Old National Road to Rethymnonn, the beach in front of Georghioupolis is a sandy beach affected by the “meltemia” (northern summer winds). However, it is rather popular.

Well organised, it offers accommodation facilities of various types, food and drink and facilities for swimming and sunbathing ( sun beds, umbrellas, etc), as well as sea sport facilities.
