Situated 75 kilometers far from Chania at the South, and 3-4 kilometers far from Chora Sfakion at the West, Glyka Nera is a fascinating beach with pebbles, very clear and fresh sweet water that comes out of the earth (to which the beach owes its name) and not affected by the winds.
No accommodation facilities are available; a small cantina offers some food and cold drink and umbrellas for protection from the sun. The beach is perfect for nudists.
Access from Chania is possible by public bus and rented or private car and motorbike till Chora Sfakion.
Access from Chora Sfakion is possible on foot (approximately 30 minutes).
Access from Loutro is possible on foot (approximately an hour) following a difficult path and by boat (departure at 10:00 and return at 16:00). |
