Situated at a distance of 85 kilometers from Chania at the South and 6 kilometres far from Palaeochora at the West, Grammeno is a long beach with two small coves. Sandy, it has lot of cedar trees giving to it a special character and it is affected only by the southern winds.

Not much organised, it offers only food and drink and facilities for swimming and sunbathing (sun beds, umbrellas).

Access from Chania is possible by public bus (up to Palaeochora) and rented or private car and motorbike.
