Situated at a distance of 8 kilometers far from Chania at the West, there are found the beaches of Kalamaki, two sandy beaches in Stalos and Glaros. Being at the northern coast, they are affected by the “meltemia” (northern summer winds).

Both are well organised, offering accommodation facilities, food and drink at the sea front taverns and bars; facilities for swimming and sunbathing (sun beds, umbrellas, sea sports etc) are also available.
