Situated at the Southern coast of the Akrotiri (Souda) bay, at a distance of 19 kilometers from Chania at the East, just off the Old National Road to Rethymnonn, Kalyves is a sandy beach, quite protected and not affected by the “meltemia” (northern summer winds). |

It is well organised, offering accommodation facilities, food and drink and facilities for swimming and sunbathing (sun beds, umbrellas, etc), as well as sea sport facilities. Access from Chania is possible by public bus, running regularly, taxi and rented or private car and motorbike. |
