Situated 80 kilometers far from Chania at the South, and 1 kilometre far from Palaeochora at the east, successive to the Palaeochora (east side) beach, Keratides is a long pebbly and stony beach, open to the southern winds.

No facilities are available, it is chosen only by a few people, those liking calmness and isolation.

Access from Chania is possible by public bus (up to Palaeochora) and rented or private car and motorbike.

Access from Palaeochora is possible on foot.
