Situated 89 kilometers far from Chania at the South and 10 kilometres far from Palaeochora at the west, Krios is a beach with pebbles, open to the south and thus affected by the southern winds, not very rare in summer.

Less organised, it offers food and drink and facilities for swimming and sunbathing (sun beds, umbrellas).

Access from Chania is possible by public bus (up to Palaeochora) and rented or private car and motorbike.
