Situated 58 kilometers far from Chania, at the West, and 18 kilometers far from Kastelli at the end of a secondary road, Pachia Ammos is a long and wide sandy beach; as it is located at an open bay, it is affected by the western and north- western winds, but not so much by the “meltemia” (northern summer winds).

It is well organised, offering accommodation facilities, food and drink and facilities for swimming and sunbathing (sun beds, umbrellas, sea sports etc) . This beautiful and famous beach has been voted for Best Beach of Greece for 2002.

Apart from the marvelous sand, the clear water and the facilities for tourists, the beach offers to the visitor marvelous sunsets.
