Approximately 12 kilometers far from Chania at the East, just at the opposite side of the bay were it is located Marathi, it is found the beach of Loutraki. Due to its place it is well protected and not affected by the “meltemia” (northern summer winds).

The beach is small with fine sand and shallow water, ideal for children. It is one of the best choices of the locals, especially during the weekends.

Accommodation facilities are available, in hotels and rooms to let; some restaurants, taverns and cafes offer food and drink.

The beach is organised with sun beds and sea sport facilities.
