Situated 36 kilometers far from Chania at the East, 17 kilometers off the Old National Road to Rethymnonn, Omprogialos is a remote beach, not affected by the “meltemia” (northern summer winds).
Less organised, it does not offer accommodation facilities, or facilities for swimming and sunbathing. Actually it is not a real beach; there is only a fresh fish tavern with a large platform in front of it.
Access from Chania is possible by taxi and rented or private car and motorbike (17 kilometers of secondary road). |
