Well organised, it offers accommodation facilities, food and drink and facilities for swimming and sunbathing (sun beds, umbrellas, etc); sea sport facilities are also available. When there is wind, the beach is ideal for surfing. It is very popular and crowded, especially in August. The western end of the beach is frequented by nudists. Access from Chania is possible by public bus and rented or private car and motorbike. Access from Palaeochora is possible on foot. |
