Situated 79 kilometers far from Chania at the South, the east side of Palaeochora is a pebbly beach, affected by the southern winds.

Less organised than the nearby Pachia Ammos, it is also less crowded. Food and drink facilities as well as facilities for swimming and sunbathing (sun beds, umbrellas) are available.

Access from Chania is possible by public bus and rented or private car and motorbike.
