Situated 23 kilometers far from Chania at the East, 4 kilometers off the Old Road to Rethymnonn, Plaka is a sandy beach, not affected by the “meltemia” (northern summer winds). |

It is well organised and offers accommodation facilities, food and drink and facilities for swimming and sunbathing (sun beds, umbrellas). Access from Chania is possible by public bus, with regular service, taxi and rented or private car and motorbike. |
