The beach of Agiofarango ("the gorge of the saints" in greek) is found at the exit of the homonymous beautiful gorge, at the southern coast of Crete. Situated at the southeast of the village Kali Limenes, at a distance of  more than 80 kilometres far from Heraklion at the Southeast, it is a pebbly beach, well protected from the winds.

The beach is not organised at all; the only thing it can offer to the visitor is calmness, a scenic environment and a crystal clear sea. The beach is nudism tolerant.
Accommodation and fod and drink facilities are available only at the nearest inland towns, as Mires.

Access from Heraklion is possible by rented or private car and motorbikes up to the village of Kali Limenes. From there, you have two choices: either you catch the excursion boat, or, if you like walking in nature and you are fit enough, you go there on foot, via the small but fascinating  Ayofarango gorge.
