Florida Beach
With this name it is known the western part - and closer to Heraklion - of the some kilometres long and wide beach within the bay of Heraklion, eastern to the city and the airport. It is a sandy beach, situated some 7 kilometres far from Heraklion at the East, open to the North and thus affected by the northern winds. Due to the vicinity with the airport, it is somehow noisy, which results to be less crowded.

Karteros Beach
Successive to Florida at the East it is found the wide sandy beach of Karteros; this too is part of the some kilometres long and wide beach within the bay of Heraklion. The beach is situated at a distance of 8 kilometres far from Heraklion in front of the homonymous village. Open to the North it is affected by the northern winds.

Amnissos Beach
Successive to the beach of EOT , in front of the homonymous tourist resort, it is found the beach of Amnissos, part of the some kilometres long and wide beach within the bay of Heraklion, at a distance of 9 kilometres far from the city and the airport, at the East. It is a sandy beach open to the North and thus affectec by the northern winds.
