Not much organised, the beach is popular to the locals and only few tourists visit it. There is more people at the western end of the beach, that near the port, whereas the eastern part is less frequented and usually quiet. The beach itself does not offer accommodation and food and drink facilities, but in short distance you will find hotels and rooms to let, as well as some fish taverns. Access from Heraklion is possible by rented or private cars and motorbikes. |
