Trachoulas beach, Heraklion Crete |
Eastern to Lentas, at a distance of some 80 kilometres far from Heraklion at the South it is found the beach of Psili Ammos or Trachoulas. As its greek name says ("psili ammos" means "fine sand" in greek), it is a sandy beach, remote enough, shadowed by the Asterousia Mountain. The beach is open to the South and affected by the winds blowing in the area. No facilities at all are available on the beach. |

If you choose it, you will find only the crystal clear sea, the bright sun and possibly a few people enjoying the calmness and the natural environment. All these features make the beach suitable for nudism. Access from Heraklion is possible only by rented or private car and motorbikes. From Lentas you will get to the beach on foot, or by boat. |
