Situated some 85 kilometres far from Heraklion at the South - Southeast and 12 kilometres southern to the village Kato Kasteliana, Tsoutsouros is a sandy beach in front of the homonymous settlemet, affected by the winds blowing in the area.

Less organised, it offers only some rooms for accommodation and a few taverns for food and drink, fresh fish and local delicacies. Swimming and sunbathing facilities are not available. It is very popular to the locals and in summer it gets crowded, especially during the weekends.
