The beach of Avlaki is situated at a distance of 27 kilometers far from Aghios Nicolaos at the Northwest and one kilometer past the port of Sissi. It is a pebbly beach with big pebbles, not very nice, but well protected from the winds, which is its main advantage. |

Well-organised, it offers swimming and sunbathing facilities; for accommodation and eating, the beach of Sissi is very close and offers any kind of lodging and food and drink. Access from Aghios Nicolaos and from Heraklion is possible by public bus, running regularly, as well as by rented or private cars and motorbikes. From Aghios Nicolaos, you can also use a taxi. |
