Boufos beach, Lassithi Crete |

At a distance of 26 kilometers far from Aghios Nicolaos at the Northwest, past to the beach of Sissi, but close enough to it, it is found the small sandy beach of Boufos. The beach is very much affected by the winds, which, when blowing, create characteristic huge waves. Swimmers should be cautious in such cases. |

Well-organised, it offers swimming and sunbathing facilities; for accommodation and eating, the beach of Sissi is very close, so you will not have any problem. Access from Aghios Nicolaos and from Heraklion is possible by public bus, running regularly, as well as by rented or private cars and motorbikes. From Aghios Nicolaos, taxis are also available. |
