Situated at a distance of 27 kilometers far from Aghios Nicolaos at the Northwest, very close to the homonymous hotel, it is a sandy beach, protected from the winds blowing in the area.

Rather organised, the beach offers swimming and sunbathing facilities; accommodation, food and drink are plenty at the nearby tourist resort of Sissi.

The beach is less crowded than those of Sissi or Boufos, due to the fact that the visitor has to walk for some minutes to access the beach. However, the effort is worth doing.

Access from Aghios Nicolaos and from Heraklion is possible by public bus, running regularly, as well as with rented or private cars and motorbikes. From Aghios Nicolaos, you can also use a taxi. In all cases, you have to walk for the last 500 meters, following the path from the beach of Avlaki.
