Situated at a distance of 107 kilometers far from Aghios Nicolaos at the East and 47 kilometers southeastern to Sitia , the beach of Kato Zakros is a very nice beach with fine pebbles and crystal clear sea, at the scenic port of the homonymous village; although in a cove, the beach is affected by the winds blowing in the area.
