Lieber Vasilis, liebe Familie Tsamandouras,
wir sind seit 10 Jahren Stammgäste bei Euch im Hotel Kyknos Beach und fühlen uns jedes Jahr sehr, sehr wohl. Natürlich liegt es auch daran, dass wir immer herzlich Willkommen sind und sehr freundlich, vor allem auch sehr familär aufgenommen werden. Ihr - genauso wie Euer gesamtes Personal (bei den Zimmermädchen angefangen, über die Köche, den Kellnerinnen und Kellnern, den Barkeepern und Nachtportiers) sind alle freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Die zwei Poolanlagen, die zahlreichen Gartenanlagen - inkl. der Unterbringungen - sind sauber und gepflegt. Euer Hotel liegt in jeder Hinsicht sehr zentral, aber ist trotzdem sehr ruhig gelegen, sodass man sich sehr gut erholen und entspannen kann. Man kommt an und der Urlaub beginnt. Vom Urlaubsbeginn bis zum Urlaubsende genießen wir jeden Tag und am Ende (welches immer viel zu schnell kommt) sind schon sehr häufig Tränen geflossen.

Dear Vassilious (I’m sure that is not how you spell it)
Just a brief note from Elisabeth and myself to say thank you to you and your staff for a very happy two weeks. It is dangerous to thank people by name particularly as my spelling isn’t up to the task but I must mention Antonio, Ilco, Costas and your chef. After reading the fanciful reviews caused us so much concern, but I hope our review will go some way to put matters right. Best wishes. See you next year. My wife and I have just returned from holiday at the Kyknos Beach Hotel, Malia. We could not get in the hotel in which we usually stay and agreed to the above hotel knowing nothing about it. A couple of weeks later reviews on the Kyknos were pointed to us, not surprisingly, we were very worried. Ckcroaches in the bedrooms, poor quality furnishings, rude and most unhelpful staff, particularly mentioned were the manager, the pool barman and a waiter who shouted at holiday makers for having the audacity to choose their own table in the dining room. It was too late to change our booking and we were very apprehensive when we arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night, three hours late. What a load of rubbish these people had written. Why do they do it? I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I see this is a mischief making. We didn’t meet a single member of the staff that didn’t make us feel welcome , the food was fine and there was plenty of choice. Yes there was greek food but what did they expect? Crete is part of Greece and there were plenty of alternatives. The rooms were clean, tidy and well furnished. The only blemish was “Gus was ere” scratched on a highly polished table. If the idiot that did that reads this then I hope you are ashamed of yourself. The entertainment was first class and it was professional not the efforts of well meaning enthusiastic amateurs that is on offer at some of the other hotels. The staff is hard worked but the relationship between staff and management is excellent. The hotel is family run and one member of the family Vassilious, is there most of the time and is very approachable. This review may sound more like a reference but we can’t think of a single thing to complain about. Go to this hotel. We’ll be going again next year.

Ferien in Kreta und besonders im Hotel Kyknos Beach sind unsere ideale Ferien: schφnes ruhiges und gut erschlossenes Hotel, ideale Lage und vor allem sehr nettes und freundliches Personal. Wie andere verbringen wir seit 2003 regelmδssig unsere Sommerferien im Kyknos Beach Hotel, weil es fόr uns alles hat, was wir brauchen und wόnschen:
Es gibt mit 3 Kindern genόgend Platz in den Familienzimmern, der saubere und ruhige Strand ist nur 5 Min zu Fuss entfernt und es stehen im Hotel 2 Pools mit Liegeplδtzen zur Verfόgung. Die Kinder kφnnen sich auf der Rutschbahn und dem angrenzenden Spielplatz vergnόgen, zur vollen Zufriedenheit der Eltern. Das einheimische Essen vom Buffet geniessen wir jeden Tag und jeder findet, was er gerne hat. Die Insel Kreta bietet noch zahlreiche Sehenswόrdigkeiten, welche wir nach Jahren noch nicht alle besichtigen konnten. Wenn man etwas anderes als Strand und Meer sehen will, gibt es noch zahlreiche kleine Dφrfer in den Bergen, wo es auch kόhler ist. Die angenehme Nδhe zur Hauptstrasse ermφglicht die Erkundung der Insel mit φffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln (sehr gute Busverbindungen) und Mietauto. Der Transfer vom und zum Flughafen ist stets zuverlδssig gut.
Nach so vielen Jahren haben wir nicht das Gefόhl Ferien in einem Hotel zu machen sondern bei Freunden."

Thank you for a truly wonderful stay. You personally and all your excellent staff made us feel very welcome and "at home". We loved our room, which was beautifully kept during our entire stay. A special thank you to the lady who spoilt us. The very first person we met was Andris and he set the tone followed by Doret who was wonderfully helpful and as for Kostas and the full dining room staff - well every meal was a treat!!! We will spread the word about the hotel wherever we can especially with our travel agent at Tsabar.
