The beach is organised sectionally, with some beach cafes offering cold drinks and fast food and some facilities for swimming and sunbathing (sunbeds, umbrellas), but there are also parts without facilities at all, apart from the calmness and the crystal clear sea. If you like this kind of beach, go to the part that starts at Petres and ends up at the junction to the village of Episkopi.
Access from Rethymnon is easy, as there is a good network of public buses; you can also use a taxi and, of course, rented or private car and motorbikes. |
