The beach of Ligres is situated approximately 52 kilometers far from Rethymnon and some 7 kilometers from the village of Kerames at the South. It is a beautiful, pebbly beach, affected by the southern winds. The eastern end of the beach is nudism tolerant.

Not much organised, it offers few rooms for accommodation and a tavern with good food and fresh fish. No facilities for swimming, sunbathing and sea sports are available.
