Mirthios, Rethymnon Crete |
Mirthios is situated 36 kilometers far from Rethymnon, at the South and 3 Kilometers before arriving to Plakias. It is a small scenic inland village, but in short distance from the beach, built on the slopes of Kouroupas, with few permanent residents. From the village you will enjoy an excellent view of the Plakias Bay and the Libyan Sea. It is worth seeing the church of Aghios Charalambos with a beautiful wood -carved icon screen of the 19 th century; the church of Jesus Christ's Transfiguration is also worth a visit. |
