Situated 39 kilometers far from Rethymnon, at the Southern Coast of Crete, within the Plakias' Bay in front of the homonymous village, it is found a long sandy beach with crystal clear water and affected by the summer winds.

The beach is well organised, it offers accommodation facilities. Food and drink are available at the sea front taverns and restaurants; the visitor can also find facilities for swimming, sunbathing ( sunbeds, umbrellas) and sea sports, especially diving excursions and diving lessons.
