Church of Agia Sophia |
|
The church of Agia Sophia is s ituated 22 kilometers far from Rethymnon, at the East, near the village Panormos. The church is a Basilica with wooden roof, dating back to the Early Christian period (5 th century), brought to light by excavations carried out in 1948. It is the bigger church of the period in Crete. |
