The small beach of Ambeli (the word in Greek means “vineyard”) is found at the northwestern coast of the island, within a small cove, situated at an uninhabited area. The beach is one of the most remote of the island.
The beach is pretty small with crystal clear sea and pebbles and it is protected by most of the winds. As it is quite secluded and remote, it is nudism tolerant. Of course, as it happens in almost all the beaches of Folegandros, no facilities are available at the beach. Thus, you have to bring along water and your umbrella for shade at the beach. You will find rich shade a bit behind the beach, within a valley full of cultivations. If you stay here until late in the afternoon, you will have the chance to take excellent photos of the sunset. |
