The tiny beach of Demeneou is situated a bit at the north of Vardia, within an open cove , in an uninhabited area. The beach is protected only from the western winds; it has nice, clear and transparent sea. You may see the beach from the ferry boat as it reaches the port from the North. |

It is a very quiet beach with no facilities at all and if you decide to spend some hours there, you should bring along at least some water. The high rocks surrounding the beach make some shade at noon and later. Be careful when the sea is rough, because in this case there are high waves. In case of emergence you should return to Karavostassi(s) and Chora. Access to the beach is possible only from the sea, by private or rented boat or yacht. Even access on foot is impossible. |
