Galifos beach, Folegandros Island |

The beach of Galifos is situated at a distance of 10 minutes walking from Angali, at the western part of the bay of Vathy (or Angali Bay). The area is not inhabited, but you will find a few summer houses without electric power. The beach is not organized at all, so don’t forget to bring along water and your umbrella for shade, as no other shade will be available at the beach. |

When there is no southern wind the beach has nice crystal clear sea, always calm. Being secluded enough, it is nudism tolerant. In case of any problem you have to go back to Chora. Access to the beach is possible by excursion boats departing from Angali. You can also reach the beach on foot from Angali (some 10 minutes walking, on the way to Aghios Nicolaos), or from Ano Meria (some 50 minutes up to one hour of walking). If you return to Ano Meria, you should bear in mind that the way is pretty tiring, as the path is uphill. No access by vehicles is possible. |
