Zeus fell in love with her beauty and approach her in the form of rain.His jealous wife Hera transformed Zeus into a governess and deceived Semeli by convincing her to ask Zeus to appear before her in all her glory. Hera's wish was fulfilled, and as a result Semeli was thunderstruck since Zeus appeared before her surrounded by lightning and thunder. |

He also included her in his theatrical ensemble together with the Satyrs, Seilens and Bacheans. In Mykonos, Dionysus and Semeli were the most worshipped Olympian Gods.
