Aghios Ioannis beach in Mykonos Island

The small, high society beach of Hai Ghiannis, at the western part of the island, facing to Delos, famous from the film “Shirley Valentine”, is one of the most popular beaches of Mykonos. Being at a distance of only 5 klm far from Chora it is easily accessible by any means of transportation and regularly connected with public bus.

The beach is formed by several small creeks; with its white sand and the light blue clear water, with its special atmosphere, it conveys a mood of rest and relaxation. It is separated from the beaches of Ornos and Korfos by a rather long low mountain named Diakoftis.

Many visitors pretend that Hai Ghiannis is the most beautiful beach of the island, the one with a breathtaking view of Delos and a very romantic and fascinating sunset.
