| Mykonos is situated at the Northern part of the Cyclades, South to Tinos
and North to Naxos, close enough to Pireaus. Its extent is 87 square klm,
the coast line 81,5 klm approximately, and it counts more than 9000 permanent
residents. Mykonos is the beloved place of VIPS and the dream place of all young people seeking full entertainment. Mykonos is possibly the most well-known greek island worldwide; not without reason. The visitor can fulfill here every desire and realize every vision for unforgettable holidays. The sea and the beaches are among the most beautiful in the world. |
| Chora (Mykonos town), but also the other settlements
are scenic, keeping intact the traditional cycladic style of white houses
with blue windows.
The bars are famous for the original, unconventional parties. In the stores,
the visitor can find anything: from original reproductions of ancient and
byzantine artifacts, to exquisite jewels and trendy clothes signed by the “grand
maitres” of “haute couture”. The restaurants and taverns can satisfy every taste: traditionally cooked sea food goes along with “nouvelle cuisine”,ethnic and fusion kitchen, giving the promise of a gorgeous trip in taste. Mykonos is possibly the only island of Greece left intact by the invasion of mass tourism. This is the result of the great interest shown by all people and authorities involved. |

| There is high respect to the rich history of this island with the marine tradition and the numerous tiny churches, as it is shown by the several museums on various topics and the well restored old monasteries, houses and other monuments. One of the poles of attraction in Mykonos is the nearby island of Delos, a sacred place in antiquity, birth place of Apollo, the God of Light and Music. Nowadays Delos is an island – museum, with no permanent inhabitants. |
