The temple of Demetra in Ano Sagri. This temple-sanctuary dates back to the 6th century BC, was dedicated to the Olympian Goddess Demetra and is built entirely of marble. During the Christian era the ancient temple became a Christian basilica which was destroyed by the Saracens in the 7th century A.D.
