Ambelas, Paros Island |
The small but very nice coastal village of Ambelas is situated at a distance of some 12,5 kilometers northeastern to the town of Paros (Paroikia) and 5 kilometers eastern to Naoussa. Built in a fertile plain with vegaetable cultivations, cereals and vineyards, the village counts less than 150 permanent residents. Located at the northern end of a small cove, the village is well protected from the northern winds and the small port is suitable for mooring of fishing boats and small yachts. There are several alternatives for accommodation and the sea front taverns and traditional restaurants offer famous dishes of the local kitchen, which you will taste enjoying the nice view of the scenic settlement. If you like quiet or solitary holidays, Ambelas is the place to be. |
