The long, sandy beach of Chrysi Akti is situated at a distance of some 25 kilometers southeastern to Paroikia. It is one of the best beaches in the Mediterranean Sea for sea sports and especially windsurfing. It is not without reason that the surfers consider this beach ideal for this sport.

You will also enjoy high standard sea sport facilities, not only for windsurfing, but also for other sports. Among others you can find boats for rent, rescue boats and windsurfing lessons, both for beginners and advanced students. This nice beach with the golden sand (to which it owes its name) is more than 700 meters long and attracts thousands of people, numerous of whom have come to Paros just because of this beach. You will sunbathe on one of the sun beds, or you will relax under the shade of an umbrella (you will find plenty of them), enjoying the spectacle of the surfers and the view of the small islets across, Prassonissi and Dryonissi. And, if you feel like a bit …tired of the sun and sea, the beach bars are ready to offer you refreshments and a new mood.
