Glyfa beach, Paros Island |
The wonderful small sandy beach of Glyfa (meaning “brackish” in Greek) is situated at a distance of some 18 kilometers southeastern to the town of Paros (Paroikia) and some 5 kilometers before arriving to Dryos. The beach is not organized at all, nor has it any accommodation or food and drink facilities; it is quite remote, far from the public road, almost hidden. You will arrive there via a dirt road, which is not easy to find and you should have precise instructions. |

This very quiet remote but very beautiful beach is ideal for enjoying swimming and sunbathing in a crystal clear sea, almost alone, as if it was your private beach. In case of emergence you have to return to Paroikia, some 18 kilometers northwestern to the beach. Access is to the beach is possible only by private means (car or motorbike) and it is not easy at all. If you come here from Paroikia ask the locals who know the place to show you the route and follow the instructions you will be given. |
