Although remote enough, the beach is very well organized, it has crystal clear very clean sea, thick sand and interesting rock formations that form a fascinating landscape. For all these reasons the beach is recommended for naturists. The seabed is smooth but a bit muddy and the sea is very shallow for more than 100 meters far from the coast. It is suitable for snorkeling and attracts numerous fans of the sport. A few beach bars always attract young people who come here to enjoy the sea and sun, but also music, parties and various happenings and games. For all this, it is one of the most well known beaches of the island. At the right end of the beach you will see the Monastery of Aghios Ioannis, where the residents of Naoussa organize a local feast (“panighyri”) on the 29th of August, in honor of Aghios Ioannis (St. John). |
