The great-grandfather of the present owner's family was a consul (when Oia was the prosperous capital of the island) who owned the most beautiful mansion in the village. He offered his hospitality to an array of kings (Othon and Amalia), officials and other celebrities. The mansion was seriously damaged during the 1956 earthquake. Later on, the building became a museum, which has recently been restored and turned into this unique hotel.

While still maintaining its former elegance, the building of The Museum Spa Wellness Hotel has been tastefully refurnished and is now a hotel that suits the tastes of even the most discriminating guests.
