Ano (“upper”) Petali is a small village, quite close to Apollonia (some 1,5 kilometers far away at the North); the name “petali” means “rocky height”.The settlement counts only a few permanent residents living on agriculture and tourism. |

A few accommodation facilities and other services are offered to the visitors of the village; one of the main attractions is the famous traditional café “tou Fellou”. Once in the village, you may visit the church of Aghios Antypas, dated in the 17th century; the architecture of the church is the most interesting feature. Apart from the church, the most impressive sightseeing of the village is the excellent view of the sea eastern to the settlement. |

In case of emergence you should address to the corresponding services of the nearby capital Apollonia, some 1,5 kilometers southern to Ano Petali. Access to the village from the port of Kamares and from Apollonia is easy by public buses with regular service, by taxi and by rented or private car and motorbikes. As the distance from and to Apollonia is quite short, access to the village is also possible on foot, an ideal choice for the fans of walking. |
