Faros beach, Sifnos Island |

The tiny scenic sandy beach of Faros (meaning “lighthouse” in Greek) is situated within the homonymous cove of the southeastern coast of the island. It is found at a distance of some 7 kilometers southern to Apollonia. Faros is a pretty quiet beach, suitable for relaxing. |

Some accommodation facilities are available at the beach and the fish taverns at the sea front will offer you nice meals, coffee and refreshments. The beach is ideal for families with small children, not only because it is quiet enough, but also because of the shallow and safe sea. |

In case of emergence you should address to the corresponding services of the capital Apollonia, some 7 kilometers northern to the beach. Access to the beach from the port of Kamares and from Apollonia is possible by rented or private car and motorbikes. As there is a small jetty at the beach, you may get here by boat or yacht. |
