Kamares beach, Sifnos Island |
|
The beach within the cove of the port of Sifnos is more than 1500 meters long and sandy. It is situated in front of the homonymous settlement, just beside the port and at a distance of some 6 kilometers northwestern to Apollonia. The beach offers many alternatives for accommodation, eating and amusement to the visitor, and all facilities necessary for tourists. It is a well organized beach which has been awarded a blue flag several times. The sea is pretty shallow, which makes the beach ideal for families with small children. |

In case of emergence you should address to the corresponding services of the capital Apollonia, some 6 kilometers southeastern to Kamares. Access to the beach from the settlement o the port is easy, even on foot. From Apollonia you may get to the beach by public buses, with frequent service, by taxi and by rented or private car and motorbikes. |
