Vathi beach, Sifnos Island |
The long sandy beach of Vathy (meaning “deep” in Greek) is situated within the homonymous cove of the southwestern coast of the island and is more than 1400 meters long. It is extended on either side of the small jetty for the mooring of the boats coming from Kamares. The beach is found at a distance of 11 kilometers far from Apollonia at the Southwest. It is only recently, after the construction of the road connecting the settlement with Apollonia that the place has become a popular destination. |

There are several alternatives for accommodation and you will enjoy your meal or coffee at the scenic fish taverns by the seaside and in the cafés of the settlement. Vathy is a well organized beach with facilities for swimming and sunbathing (sun beds, umbrellas). Although it receives many people, it is usually quiet, thanks to its size. |
