Vari is a coastal summer settlement situated within a fertile plain with several cultivations, close (just 1 kilometer far away to the South) to the homonymous sandy beach located within a bay. The village is found at a distance of some 8 kilometers southern to Hermoupolis and counts some 1200 permanent residents, occupied in tourism and agriculture.

Swimming is very nice at the wonderful beach, but if you feel like, you may also go to the neighboring beaches of Achladi, Fabrica, Embati and Santorinioi.

Within the settlement you may visit the church of Panaghia, dedicated to Virgin Mary, with a nice view to the bay of Vari. The small port of Achladi is very scenic with the small fishing and tourist boats moored within it. The nearby site of Fabrica has also a small port and was named after the old ceramic industry that operated here in the past.

On the 15th of August the locals, but also a lot of visitors attend the local religious feast (“panigyri”) in honor of the Assumption of Virgin Mary.

In case of emergence, the corresponding services of Hermoupolis are quite close, only 8 kilometers far away to the North.
