Windmills Travel & Tourism is a full service Inbound Tour Operator established in 1979 on the Cycladic island of Tinos. Based on our steady growth, we branched out to the island of Mykonos, which became the base of our operations in 1991; and have over the years pioneered ourselves as one of the leaders in the Cycladic market. Three years ago, we opened our Athens Office, so that we could offer full service to Tour Operators for land arrangements and also mainland service to our incoming and outgoing individual clientele. We are accredited by the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO- License Nr 0206 E 6100 00198 Y1) and a member of the Hellenic Association of Travel Agents (HATA) and of the American Association of Travel Agents (ASTA).

This outstanding package combines a taste of Athens with three very different Cycladic destinations, including Tinos, the island that we call the best kept secret of the Cyclades. From the unspoiled countryside of Tinos, with its artistic traditions, mountain villages, and beautiful dovecotes, you'll stop next at Mykonos, the cosmopolitan island destination with outstanding nightlife, and with the opportunity to visit the Sacred Island of Delos. Santorini is next, and here you'll have the breathtaking Caldera and the legendary sunset at Oia. We think that this package certainly defines the diversity of the Cyclades!
Day 1: Arrival at Athens airport. Meet our Athens Branch representative and transfer to your Athens accommodation. Day at leisure. We suggest you stroll through the streets of the Plaka area, or bargain your way through the Monasteraki flea market at the foot of the Acropolis hill. Overnight at your chosen Athens hotel. Athens is a wonderous city, and you can find yourself in the middle of a traffic jam at 3 o'clock in the morning! Day 2: After breakfast, transfer to the port (Piraeus or Rafina) for your departure to Tinos. Arrival and transfer to your Tinos accommodation. We suggest that you explore the streets of Tinos Town and visit its museums and the famous Church of the Panagia, the most important pilgrimage for the Greek Orthodox followers. The famous Icon of Our Lady dominates its interior. It is covered with precious jewels, just a few of the many offerings of emperors, kings, and the faithful. The church was built in 1828, during the Hellenic Independence Revolt against Turkish Rule, on the spot where the miraculous icon was found. Try to discover the numerous pieces of marble carried over from the ruins of Delos, and used to build the walls during the five-year period of its construction. Overnight.
Day 3-4: Days at leisure. We suggest that you tour one of the most beautiful of the Cycladic Islands. The expansive Tinos island scenery is, simultaneously, dramatic and serene. Rolling hills of green and brown, laced with an intricate series of endless rock walls, a landscape dotted with clusters of white villages, churches and exquisitely built dovecotes, all accessed by excellent paved roads. Marvelous fountains ornamented with marble sculptures, beautiful beaches, and its authentic old-world charm has made Tinos the island of choice for those searching for the "real" Greece. After your tour, you will understand why Tinos is called "the bride of the Cyclades." Overnight. Day 5: After breakfast, transfer to the port for your departure to Mykonos. Arrival at Mykonos island and transfer to your accommodation. Rest of the day is free at leisure to explore and find your way through the maze of Mykonos Town. The tinier the cobbled street, the more surprising the views. Overnight.
Day 6-8: Days at leisure. Some suggestions include a guided tour of the sacred island of Delos; a boat ride to nearby or distant beaches; scuba diving; beach BBQ; and, of course, enjoying the Mykonian nightlife. Overnight. Day 9: After breakfast, transfer to the (air)port for your departure to Santorini. Arrival at Santorini and transfer to your accommodation. Rest of the day free at leisure for you to come to terms with the shock and awe that you'll experience when you first view the caldera and its breathtaking precipices. Overnight.
Day 10-12: Days at leisure. Enjoy a swim at the colorful beaches created by the eruption of the volcano during ancient times. Don't miss visiting the traditional village of Oia to enjoy the magnificent sunset that has christened Santorini as the most romantic island of the world. You may also visit the site of Akrotiri, an ancient city covered by volcanic ash during ancient times, with its famous frescoes. Overnight. Day 13: After breakfast, transfer to the (air)port for your departure to Athens. Arrival in Athens and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day free at leisure. Last chance too for you to catch up with the thousands of things you have left undone and unseen; make a vow to return again to explore the mysteries of this City of Cities. Overnight. Day 14: After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight home, full of memories that will last a lifetime.

The combination of Tinos and Mykonos offers one of the best two-center holiday packages. You have the beauty and charm of Tinos, with the strong Greek ethnicity of the island, combined with and contrasted by the cosmopolitan atmosphere and chic nightlife represented by Mykonos. Both islands offer outstanding beaches and wonderful architecture; and, while Tinos certainly has more than enough nightlife and shopping, there is no doubt that Mykonos is the destination in the Cyclades for nighttime excitement and boutique designer shops.

Day 8: After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to the port of Tinos for your ferry to Mykonos. Upon arrival at Mykonos, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your accommodation. Overnight on Mykonos.
Day 9-13: You've plenty of time ahead of you to enjoy the very best of Mykonos, well known for its outstanding beaches, riotous nightlife, chic designer shops, and posh hotels. On Mykonos, anything goes, and while its reputation is a tiny bit outrageous, there are always lots of hidden, undiscovered spots for relaxation and quiet. From Mykonos, there are daily excursions to nearby Delos, offering the best opportunity in the Cyclades for touring and discovering this outstanding open-air archaeological site. Some excellent excursions are available on Mykonos too, including the Jeep Safari, the caique BBQ cruise, guided Delos (the best way to visit), and a host of other organized activities.
Day 14: After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to the port/airport of Mykonos for your return ferry/flight to Athens. On arrival, you will again be met by our Athens representative and taken to your hotel. Overnight in Athens.
Day 15: After breakfast, our Athens representative will transfer you to the Athens International Airport in plenty of time for your return flight home.

Windmills Travel Tinos >> Syros-Tinos Package

The combination of Syros and Tinos provides for an ideal contrast of architectural styles, lifestyle, and choice of day-to-day activities. Both islands have a large Catholic population, very evident on Syros in the medieval village of Ano Syros, which occupies the hillside overlooking the capital of Ermoupolis. On Tinos, you have the contrasting simplicity of the Catholic and Orthodox villages. Both islands offer plenty of opportunities for relaxing at great beaches and enjoying fresh, well-prepared Greek cuisine.

Day 1: Arrival at Athens International Airport. Our representative will transfer you to your Athens hotel, where you'll have the afternoon and evening free to do a bit of exploring. The old part of the city, the Plaka, is definitely recommended for shopping and dining.

Day 2: Our representative will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the port of Piraeus for your ferry to Syros. Upon arrival at Syros, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your accommodation. Overnight on Syros.
Day 3-7: Days and nights on Syros to thoroughly explore this small, yet lively, island destination. With the capital of Ermoupolis offering such a wide variety of activities, you'll not have a chance to be bored here. There are plenty of shopping possibilities, a casino for nighttime entertainment, the beautiful Ano Syros medieval town, plus some outstanding museums and churches to visit. The main town is quite busy, with a very lively pace, while the countryside and beaches are very laidback and relaxing. Of course, admiring the beautiful neoclassical mansions of Ermoupolis will be the first item on your list.

Day 8: After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to the port of Ermoupolis for your ferry to Tinos. Upon arrival at Tinos, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your accommodation. Overnight on Tinos.
Day 9-13: You've plenty of time ahead of you to enjoy the very best of Tinos, with its fifty or so villages, extraordinary dovecotes, and outstanding variety of beaches. Tinos is a treasure of art and artistry, and there are always art exhibits planned for July, August, and September. There are plenty of walking trails throughout the island, but the best way to get to know Tinos is by car. During your time on the island, there are a multitude of activities to keep you busy, including perhaps a climb to the top of the ancient mountain capital of Exobourgo, a morning spent in Pirgos Village wandering the marble workshops, with an afternoon lunch at the tiny port of Panormos, and even time to spend the day off-island visiting nearby Delos and Mykonos (highly recommended).
Day 14: After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to the port of Tinos for your return ferry to Athens. On arrival, you will again be met by our Athens representative and taken to your hotel. Overnight in Athens.
Day 15: After breakfast, our Athens representative will transfer you to the Athens International Airport in plenty of time for your return flight home.

The combination of Andros and Tinos is just perfect for nature lovers and for those who appreciate peace, quiet, and tranquility. These are also two of the best destinations for walkers. Of course, that does not mean that you won't have access to some fast-paced nightlife, especially on Tinos, or that you will be lacking in great beaches, fun shopping, and lots of interesting sites!

Day 1: Arrival at Athens International Airport. Our representative will transfer you to your Athens hotel, where you'll have the afternoon and evening free to do a bit of exploring. The old part of the city, the Plaka, is definitely recommended for shopping and dining.
Day 2: Our representative will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the port of Rafina for your ferry to Andros. Upon arrival at Andros, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your accommodation. Overnight on Andros.
Day 3-7: Days and nights on Andros to thoroughly explore this beautiful, large, quite green island. The variety and scenery on Andros includes some lovely mountain villages, forested slopes, ravines and springs, majestic homes and mansions of ship owners, plus simple country houses and small dovecotes. Andros Town, the capital, has a wonderful atmosphere and several excellent museums. You'll find plenty of walking trails and some excellent sandy beaches.
Day 8: After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to the port of Gavrion for your ferry to Tinos. Upon arrival at Tinos, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your accommodation. Overnight on Tinos.
Day 9-13: You've plenty of time ahead of you to enjoy the very best of Tinos, with its fifty or so villages, extraordinary dovecotes, and outstanding variety of beaches. Tinos is a treasure of art and artistry, and there are always art exhibits planned for July, August, and September. As with Andros, you'll find plenty of walking trails, but the best way to get to know Tinos is by car.
